About NextPlay
Built by a player, for coaches
Hi, I'm Ohad.
I played pro basketball in Israel for 16 years, most of it with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, my hometown club, and we went all the way from the third division up to the Premier League. For 15 of those years I was coaching too. Same week, both ends of the bench.
Here is the part nobody warns you about. The games are the easy bit. What actually decides them happens on the days in between. Scouting the next opponent. Building the practice that fixes whatever fell apart on Saturday. Working out which of your players is really improving, and which one you just badly want to be improving.
Big clubs have a room full of people for that. The rest of us do it at the kitchen table at one in the morning. I did that for 15 years.
So what is NextPlay
Five specialists who sit down and do that work with you. A general manager, an opposition scout, an analytics guy, a tactics coach, and an assistant who plans your practices. They know your roster, your schedule and your notes, because you gave them to us and to nobody else.
They are not a chatbot with a basketball prompt taped to it. They read your team's own numbers, they write straight into your calendar, your notebook and your practice plans, and when they are not sure they ask you instead of guessing.
I still coach
A senior team in the third division, and a U18 team in the second. Everything here gets used on my own teams before it reaches yours, which also means that when something in NextPlay is wrong, it is usually wrong on my bench first. That is the fastest bug report there is.
